Episode 27 - Tallgrass #BeerSchool at Shamrocks Pub & Grill
Wednesday May 18, 2016
Wednesday May 18, 2016
We are on location at Shamrocks Pub & Grill in this episode for beer school!
Bender and I start the segment with our usual chit chat. The we sit down with two reps, Jordan and Lindsay, from Tallgrass Brewing Co. to learn a little bit more about beer. You know, other than how to consume it.
After that we round up the owner of Shamrocks, Kyle, to get some history and info on what it takes to open and run a bar.
All of this while drinking a healthy amount of delicious Tallgrass beers!

This is our Mother's Day salute to moms episode!
The wife joins me to run down a brand new #Top12Pack... the best and worst mom's in pop culture!
Outside of that, we experience a first on the podcast, a pause in the action for a bathroom break! Not big news I know, but still a first. We also talk about our moms for just a bit and I praise my wife for being my favorite mom on the planet.
There's just a little bit in news/notes about the upcoming weeks for the R.A.P. and the impending Random A** Family Vacation to Orlando.

Episode 24 - #FullyHosted
Sunday May 01, 2016
Sunday May 01, 2016
In this episode, we ride three deep on what we are now calling a #FullHosted format. We don't devote much time to news and notes, we basically give the majority of the show to the #Topical6Pack. On it we get into the these topics...
1. We talk about our stop with the Drink MO Beer podcast.
2. Who were the winners and losers of the NFL raft, in this the post Rams era of St. Louis.
3. Jay-Z, Beyonce, and the release of Lemonade stir up some controversy with talk of infidelity.
4. We steal a page from Bill Simmon's playbook and weigh on who should be comedy's MVP of 2015.
5. We'll tell you what movies on i09's list of book to movie reboots that we agree and disagree with.
6. With Civil War looming, we give our final thoughts before we get to see it next weekend.
Other then that we hit on some other things that you can read more in depth about at www.theRAPcast.com.
Or just download from Stitcher, iTunes, and now Google Play Music!

Episode 23 - #WeddedBliss
Sunday Apr 24, 2016
Sunday Apr 24, 2016
This, a wine inspired episode, is titled Wedded Bliss. All because its just me and Mrs. Rapcast; aka #TheFLOP, aka @MJBoonannie, aka my wife Missy!
And with her riding co-pilot. one the show's least common occurrence goes down, as I let the wife take the reigns. I take the second half of the show (the #Topical6Pack) off and let Missy run the whole thing. She wrote, presented, and lead the 6 pack without letting me know the topics a head of time. So when we run long, she is to blame! But outside of that, she crushed it.
Sadly, we also have to talk about the passing of Rock/Pop/Funk/Soul/Everything music icon, Prince. At 57 years young and a world of music both behind and ahead, we reflect on what he was to us and his impact on the world. Like I say in the segment, I don't think Dusty (@araknidbethlehm) is going to mind that Prince both plays us in and out this episode and I quote someone I saw on social media when I say, "Love the legends you have while there here." And we will miss one's we don't now that they're gone.
That sadness aside, in the #Topica6Pack we talk about the following...
1. Adam LaRoche and his Avenger like hero life saving actions in retirement!
2. A more in depth look at Axl Rose and his replacing Brian Johnson as front man to AC/DC.
3. The UFC/Conor McGregor fallout... or money grab?
4. The outgoing and incoming TV seasons and what we are looking forward to this year.
5. Missy asks where I think I would be if I were to have never met her.
6. And finally, in honor of #420Day, she asks what are my favorite 420 inspired films.
And since we were fueled by aged grapes this episode, I fell I should point out that Missy got through the episode with a bottle of Flip Flop Riesling and I partake in the relentless. Bold. Unapologetic... bottle of Insurrection.
That said, as I bring this episode summary in to stable; I want you to remember to stop reading, start downloading, keep listen and no matter how big that word "Life" is (and it means forever, which is a mighty long time)... you have to like, comment, and share!
And also... GO CRAZY!

Sunday Apr 17, 2016
Sunday Apr 17, 2016
This one is a doozie. We have the full house of Random A** Hosts and the #FLOP (just listen). And while we over talk a lot and maybe lose a little bit of structure... but the format is there and we will only get better as we go!
So here is the summary...
We hit on the following in the #Topica6Pack:
The controversy of this year's Rock'n Roll H.O.F.
The St. Louis Blues and what they mean to Tom... and the city!
And where are the NHL's stars?
Music's best decade.
Why Howard Stern hates podcasts.
How to be geeky in NYC and STL.
We also argue over top craft breweries. And top cities for craft breweries.
There's a brief stop on Wizard Wold STL and 4 Hands Lupulin Carnival 2016.
I also hit on seeing Kevin Smith at Helium Comedy Club.
We go for a long time, so there is a lot more to go over. You're just going to have to listen. So stop reading, start downloading, and for try and get a word in edge wise... as long as that word is subscribing, sharing, and commenting!

Episode 21 - Mike Schilling of Dead Nightmare
Sunday Apr 10, 2016
Sunday Apr 10, 2016
On episode 21 we bring Mike Schilling to #BoHaagonStudios... again... to discuss his YouTube series Dead Nightmare.
Mike recently released episodes 2-4 and on our show he is talking about his influences, why he started a web series, the equipment and software he uses, being self taught in costume makeup and special FX, and what he thought of this season's cliffhanger finale to The Walking Dead.
We also get Bender to come to terms with having actually played a role playing game.
We also in a round about way extend the offer to Mike to become part of our extended Random A** Family... which he accepts... so expect Mike to be popping up from time to time on future episodes!
And on that note, although not here, we officially title Tom as the 3rd man of our show. Though we haven't told him yet.
So plug in some earbuds or link up to the vehicle and once again; stop reading, start downloading, and for the love of god... avoid being bit by zombies! Then comment, like, and share!

Episode 19 - Andy Sloey of The Improv Shop
Thursday Mar 31, 2016
Thursday Mar 31, 2016
We're taking our show on the road!
We're at The Improv Shop talking to the General Manager Andy Sloey. Andy, a St. Louis native, has been studying and performing improv since 1996. He holds a BFA in performance from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University and is a graduate of both the iO Training Center and Second City Conservatory in Chicago. He's performed at iO, produced and performed shows with his independent team ‘Let Them Ho’s Fight’ and made frequent appearances at The Playground Theater and The Second City’s Donny’s Skybox with various other teams and shows. He has also performed at the Chicago, Seattle, St. Louis and Los Angeles Improv Festivals, as well as the Del Close Marathon at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City. Before moving to Chicago, he was an ensemble member and Artistic Director of long form at CITY Improv in St. Louis’ Union Station. Andy is currently an adjunct professor at Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts. He coaches The Improv Shop Harold team Burnside.
Andy was either gracious enough or naive enough to say yes to be our first interview. For that we thank him! Hopefully after spending the better part of an hour with him, you will have a new found interest in improv and you'll find your way to The Improv Shop.
If you do, let him know where you heard about it! Actually, let everyone know where you heard it.
So stop reading, start downloading, and for the love of comedy… comment, like, and share!
Also, support local improv! And podcasts!

Episode 18 - One Geeky A** Crossover
Sunday Mar 27, 2016
Sunday Mar 27, 2016
Another crossover event... this time The Geekaholics out of Springfield MO!
Before you find out what's in this episode, one correction. Tom Hummel is next week's co-host and Andy Sloey is the guest and GM of St. Louis's Improv Shop (http://theimprovshop.com/). After a day of brewery hopping, I mixed up roles slightly when announcing upcoming events. If there's any other mistakes... my bad... see the brewery excuse. It covers all errors.
And speaking of brewery hopping...
Today's crossover episode was more of an all day event. Starting w/lunch at Shamrock's (http://www.shamrocks-pubandgrill.com/) we then hit up Civil Life (http://www.thecivillife.com/), followed by Urban Chestnut's Tower Grove location (http://urbanchestnut.com/home/).
After that, we all became first timers at Modern Brewery (http://modernbrewery.com/) and then hit up the Bottleworks in Maplewood (http://schlafly.com/bottleworks/).
All of that, then stopping our day at #StudioBoHaagon for back to back recordings. So listen here and then check out the Geeks at http://thegeekaholics.podbean.com/, on iTunes, Stitcher and follow them @Geekaholicspod on Twitter.
Ok... now go.
